Martial Arts

 

You know, what are the martial arts? Yes, martial arts mean are not fighting. It is controlling the rival. It's never teach to kill someone. So that, according to my view, it is a meditation and a spiritual development. It's having breathing exercises, like Anapanasathi meditation. It relaxes our mind and helps our health and consciousness. Not only that, but it always connects to environment. Martial arts teach us how to protect ourselves.




 We can recognize many types of martial arts such as taekwondo, aikido, karate, thai chi, judo etc.



 I want to explain you about martial arts history. It is a very important thing because it is the foundation of martial arts. Martial arts history go back to the epipalaeolithic to early neolithic. There's a painting of a battle scene. It was founded from an eastern Spain cave. It is given to date between 10000 and 6000. It shows an organized battle fighting with bows and arrows. 




After that, we can recognize martial arts in Europe. In the Ancient Greece, they basically used wrestling and boxing for Olympic Games. In addition, they used sword and shield for battle. 

During the medieval period, Asian martial art became well. By the way, in the first world war, many martial arts were developed. Those spread all the countries. So that, we can see individual martial arts in every country. Korean martial arts began in Jeseon era, Chinese martial arts in Ming era and Indian martial arts in medieval such as 'Agni Purana' 'malla Purana' and Japanese martial arts beginning with established in samurai nobility in the 12th century. However, martial arts has developed as a dancing style by today.




 Martial arts technique bored between human and animals behavior. 



Martial arts, basically, use two technique such as strike and grappling. We can see in many other techniques in these two. Under the strike technic, There are punching (boxing, Karate), kicking (kickboxing, taekwondo), other using strikes kung fu, Lethwei, Muai Thai etc. In the grappling technic, use such as throwing (hapkido, aikido, sumo, wrestling etc.), joint lock (judo, jujitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, sambo etc.) and pining technique. We can't forget martial art's father Bruce Lee. He introduced many techniques to martial arts, and he directed movies too. But there is a one thing that we need to understand. There is a good side and a bad side. So we need to use the good side. After that, it will explain you, what are martial arts? 






Few years ago, I learnt karate and Thai chi. But I had to stop it because of my mother afraid it. But I hope to do it one day again.  acording to my heart, martial arts like a pure flower and personally I like to asian martial arts. It can heal the mind.

However, I can't stop writing this topic because I like martial arts and there are many things to talk about that, but if you want to try this subject you want to start from breathing exercises.
